Jeff Bell is a multiple award winning writer and Artist. He is also the co-creator of Captain Baffo. Other than Captain Baffo, Jeff, along with his younger brother Aaron, writes for and produces a monthly satirical online magazine The Scoop News.
Born in Arvada, Colorado, Jeff moved to Mesa, Arizona, with his family while he was still in Junior High. He later attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff where he eventually met up again with Aaron. While in college Aaron and Jeff worked at the college newspaper writing and editing the entertainment section of the paper. Interviewing some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry the two eventually split with the newspaper and began writing and producing their own humorous stories which would eventually evolve into The Scoop. One of those stories, "Constant Hitting May Cause Brain Damage" won a humorous writing competition. A couple years later, another Scoop story, "Jesus Christ Casino," would take top honors in the same contest.
In 1998 they submitted a short screenplay entitled "Forgive Me Father" to Worldfest Flagstaff. The screenplay was a finalist in the competition, which gave Jeff and Aaron international exposure. In addition to "Forgive Me Father," they wrote several other screenplays and short stories, one of which would serve as the precursor to Captain Baffo. The story "Lactose Intolerance" was written in 2000 and immediately began taking on a life of its own. The story was posted on the Internet and quickly became an underground hit. The duo continue their work on The Scoop and are currently in production of the first Captain Baffo episode.
Jeff is currently living in Denver, Colorado.
